JOB PURPOSE:
Direct and control the Division’s operations to give strategic guidance and direction to the Directors to ensure that the Division achieves its mission and objectives.
KEY RESULTS AREAS / DELIVERABLES AND KEY ACTIVITIES:
REVENUE AND RECEIVABLES MANAGEMENT
Oversee and direct the delivery of the Division’s revenues and receivables targets and objectives in order to ensure the continuous funding of its operations and expansion.
- Oversee the development of sales & profit targets and objectives which shall support the business and its operations / expansion, taking into consideration the economic conditions and other factors.
- Monitor the periodic reporting and review on the delivery of sales / profitability targets, by the Sales Team, to ensure that all objectives are met or resolved within the specified timeline.
- Oversee proper development and implementation of marketing plans and activities which shall promote and advertise the Division’s products and services to the targeted / appropriate market segment.
- Provide an active support and participation in presentations, negotiations and sales closing for key customers to support the Sales team and ensure that the Division meets or exceeds the sales and profitability targets set forth.
- Collaborate with the Group / Divisional Accounts on the timely invoicing or charging of products or services, obtained / used by the Customer, to ensure the timely receipt of the funds.
- Take an active part in the monitoring and control of the Division’s receivables within a threshold level to ensure the availability of resources / funds for its operations / expansion.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / STRATEGY
Manage and oversee the Division’s Business Development and Strategy to ensure focus on growth and long term success within a dynamic and changing market environment.
- Provide vision, strategy and leadership to achieve the highest standards of quality, customer satisfaction, delivery of service and operational capability to accomplish Divisional goals and objectives.
- Oversee the continuous identification and analysis of new technologies, practices, products, solutions and services which can be incorporated / integrated into the Division’s operations or its product / service line or solutions.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for business development initiatives that will sustain the Division and ensure its continuous growth and expansion in the market.
- Oversee the Division’s direction on the implementation of the appropriate inventory strategy to support the business in meeting its overall strategy on competitiveness against other companies.
- Develop short and long term business strategies / plans, divisional budgets and performance metrics for implementation, under approval of the Group Directors, to drive the business profitability, growth and expansion.
- Continuously review and analyze the effectiveness of the strategies implemented to timely modify and adjust against internal and external conditions and trends.
OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT & PROFITABILITY
Direct and oversee the management of the Division’s Operations and resources to continuously improve and enhance the effectiveness of delivering its products and services to the Customers at a cost efficient manner.
- Manage periodic meetings with Department Managers and key employees to review operations and submission of recommendations, improving / enhancing methods to deliver its core products / services to the Customer.
- Ensure the continuous push for initiatives which will focus on cost reduction and business / operations process improvement to drive higher productivity, on time delivery and better cost efficiency.
- Conduct meetings with subordinate managers and heads, to discuss the Division’s business results, department deliveries of targets / objectives, trends etc. to develop and maintain team cohesion in the resolution of its issues.
- Manage and oversee the expenditures of the Division to ensure control in the utilization of Company’s funds and resources to meeting the Division / Department’s targets and objectives.
- Oversee the development of Divisional policies, procedures and standards to maintain a systematic and standard approach in the efficient execution / delivery of the Division’s products and services.
- Oversee the development and implementation of a system which will effectively manage Vendors.
STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Direct and oversee the Division’s activities and focus towards building and maintaining a positive relationship with its stakeholders (e.g. Customers, Vendors and Government Agencies) to support the achievement of its strategic objectives.
- Create and implement a corporate culture which shall effectively focus in meeting customer expectations and building a positive customer experience.
- Build and manage relationships with key customers and vendors / suppliers to help capture and retain key accounts.
- Oversee that the team follows the relevant Government’s policies, mandates, rules and regulations to ensure the Division’s legal compliance.
- Ensure that the team complies with the Customer’s expectations and demands, as defined in the contract or MOU.
- Establish and maintain effective formal and informal links with major customers, relevant government departments and agencies, key vendors and other stakeholders for timely exchange of information and views.
HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
Oversee and direct the acquisition, development and management of the Division’s Human Capital to attain value creation which will build and sustain its success and growth in an increasing competitive market.
- Oversee the identification of manpower requirements in line with the business / operational plans.
- Oversee the Divisional recruitment ensuring the hiring of individuals that are best suitable for the job and exhibits Company’s ideal culture.
- Ensure the development and implementation of programs and activities which shall share knowledge, skills and experience to the respective team(s) and individuals.
- Ensure the timely appraisal of Division employees to assess their effectiveness in meeting current and future needs while identifying their potential growth within the organization.
- Ensure that all Departments and sections have specific and measurable targets and objectives directly linked towards the Division’s overall goals and objectives.
- Create a coaching and mentoring environment and encourage teamwork between the staff in order to improve team performance and individual contributions.
- Oversee the development and implementation of programs that would create and generate Employee professionalism, high morale and engagement.
